Any enterprise may introduce training activities or skills appraisal exercises as part of its training plan. 

Those joining undergo an assessment and agree a training plan designed to help them obtain the skills needed to get a job. 

WHY is it decided to conduct a skills assessment?

•    Analyze his skills and motivations in order to define a professional or trading project

WHO is the target of a skills assessment?

•    Any employee on a permanent contract 

•    Any person who is or has been the holder of a fixed-term contract 

•    Agents of the various public functions (ministries, local authorities).

•    Any job seeker, whether or not in receipt of benefits, during his period of unemployment.

WHOSE requests a skill assessment?

•    The EMPLOYER:

subject to the agreement of the employee, under the Company’s Skills Development Plan.

•    The EMPLOYEE:


in agreement with the employer, under the Personal Training Account (PTA), if the assessment of skills is to take place during his working time.



under the Personal Training Account. “Pôle Emploi” (French job centre) proposes an Evaluation of Professional Skills and Abilities (EPSA), carried out within the framework of the Council on Professional Development (CPD).

WHAT are the terms of the assessment?

•    A consultant will accompany you for the entire duration of the skills assessment.

•    He/She informs you about the possibilities of financing this balance sheet

•    He/she presents the process: individual interviews, personal work, tests and tools adapted to your personality.



Important the employee who carries out his Skills Assessment, excluding working time, does not have to request the agreement of his employer, even within the framework of the PTA.

Conduct of a skills review


  • Meeting of the balance sheet and the consultant



  • Presentation of the approach by the consultant

  •   Clarification by the balance sheet of its 


  • Analysis of the personal and professional background of the balance sheet

  •  Analysis of the personality of the balance sheet, its motivations, its interests

  • Analyze of his skills


  • Passing tests: IRMR, PRO2 PROFILE, VOCATION, BLASON, etc.

  • Rendering, by the consultant, of the results of the tests to the balance sheet

  •  Identification of a Master Project and a Companion Project

  •  Search for information from the balance sheet on these two projects (labour market, remuneration, etc.)

  •  Determination between the consultant and the balance sheet, of the future actions to be carried out by the balance sheet, to achieve the objective of one of the 2 projects (possible training and financing, etc.)


  •  Preparation by the consultant in the presence of the balance sheet, the summary report

  • Construction of an action plan: training to be confirmed, internal or external mobility to be foreseen, consideration postponed if decision of the balance sheet not decided…

  • Final return of the summary report by the consultant to the balance sheet

  • The consultant submits the confidential summary report to the balance sheet.

How to finance a skills assessment ?

The French "My Training Account" application or the website "" allows you to know the amount of your Professional Training Account/PTA and identify the competence assessment centers as well as all other training eligible for PTA near you.

Rate of a skills assessment


The basic price of a skills assessment is 2 200, 00 euros excluding tax (tests included). 

Depending on the professional profile of the future beneficiary (High Potential Manager), this rate may be revised upwards after the first interview with the Consultant.

If the training requires pre-requisites, we will also make sure that you fulfill them, either by tests (Quiz or Game of questions / answers), or by a telephone audit.


Except in special cases and depending on your own availability, that of the trainer, or according to our inter-company or intra-company schedule, the time limit for setting up the training is usually one month (on average).
